Walt Disney Stock (DIS) has been in my portfolio for several years. It is one of those stocks that I just love to trade. Most of the time there is limited volatility, but around earnings there is high volatility. This makes it ideal for my methods of investing for profits.
ESPN remains a bit of an albatross around the Disney earnings every quarter and that helps my trades tremendously. Analysts have continued to focus on the ESPN subscriber numbers every quarter which take the focus off of others avenues of income including their theme parks which are doing very well for yet another quarter. All of this works well for trading purposes.
Walt Disney Stock Chart
The plunge in the stock today pushed Walt Disney Stock below the 100 day moving average. It also breaks the $110 support level. The stock, prior to earnings, was already in a decline and had broken through the 50 day simple moving average (SMA). This type of movement is what I look for in many of my trades and Walt Disney Stock today was ideal.
Walt Disney Stock Trade Alerts
I entered a number of trades today and used the Put Selling Ladder Strategy. Often reviewing trades and keeping them on a watch list for more than a couple of days can payout better returns than when I have entered a trade. Remember that markets are very fluid and price movement can often swing widely in the course of a few days.
