The Canadian Stock Market Outlook for Monday for the TSX Composite Index was for prices to continue to move higher. By the close the index had lost a lot of the earlier momentum, but it still managed to close up 26.33 points to 13,422.76.

During the day however the TSX Composite Index moved to above 13500 by 10:00 AM. Once again, the push to 13500 brought out sellers who pushed the index lower all day. Around 3:00 PM, the selling picked up in New York and the Canadian Stock Market Outlook changed to strongly negative and sellers sent the TSX Composite Index back down to the opening high of 13,422.76.

TSX Composite Index – Momentum

Momentum for the day was strongly positive at the open and then within an hour, it turned negative. It kept that negative bias for the rest of the day including into the close….the rest of the Canadian Stock Market Outlook for Tomorrow is for members.
