Intel stock has been in my portfolio for slightly more than a decade now. Aside from the dot.com bubble, the stock has not performed as most buy and hold investors would prefer. The 10 year chart below shows that from June 2005 when the stock was trading for on average $28.30 to the present where it is trading for $30.26 today, Intel has not appreciated by much for buy and hold investors.
The dividend on the other hand has performed well. Back in 2005 Intel Stock was paying 8 cents every quarter. Today that dividend has increased 200% to 24 cents. Still for many investors who have owned the stock for 10 years, they have had a lot of disappointment. You can see in the 10 year chart that daily trading volume on Intel Stock has continued to decline which shows the lack of interest among investors to own or trade this stock.

While other investors have perhaps not enjoyed owning Intel Stock, I have earned double-digit returns every year and am busy placing another trade today as the stock continues to slip.
