Trade Alert – CIBC Stock (CM) – Fishing For Better Option Premiums

At one time, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce was considered the most conservative of the big 6 banks in Canada. That changed in the years after 2000 until the credit crisis hit in 2008 to 2009.

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce Stock was hit the hardest of all the Canadian bank stocks and indeed they lost billions of dollars in the credit crisis. That changed the bank outlook back to one of conservatism which has perhaps slowed the progress of the bank’s recovery but at the same time, has kept the bank out of trouble and ended losses.

Fishing For Better Options Premiums

Trading options in Canada is not as easy as on the large US markets. This requires me to turn to fishing strategies to try to earn better option premiums.
