Investors and analysts were concerned about Microsoft earnings which were released on Tue Jan 24 2023 after the close. Earnings were not “as bad” as expected but there were many areas that showed the company earnings could be starting to slow. The main gem in their earnings were their cloud services which continue to beat estimates for growth and profit. Other areas though, especially hardware and Windows software related showed marked declines. Windows software sales were the lowest in their history.
