What is the topic about that you are speaking on?
Teddi KnightKeymasterI will take a look. I might try 400 shares.
Teddi KnightKeymasterUse a stop-loss for the stock. That is what I am doing. I didn’t think it would get this high. I have a 30 cent stop-loss on it.
Teddi KnightKeymasterHere is a beauty of a trade in Nucor Stock for today https://www.fullyinformed.com/members/afternoon-trade-alerts-and-ideas-for-apr-24-2017/
Teddi KnightKeymasterWho knows. Maybe. It all comes down to maintaining things and the costs associated with it. I am thinking Facebook will cover a lot of this off. I am opening a Facebook account shortly where chat can be done along with postings.
Teddi KnightKeymasterYes. I will be posting my Trade Ahead Of Earnings Strategy for Facebook Stock next week.
Teddi KnightKeymasterI will do a write-up for this. Just adding it to my enormous to do list. LOL.
Teddi KnightKeymasterHi Art;
You can access the summary page here: https://www.fullyinformed.com/members/facebook-stock-fb-million-dollar-challenge-year-1-trade-summary/You can rest assured that any time a trade can be closed for 5 cents it is closed. I do my best to keep the trades as current as I can but there will always be a delay since I am also writing other articles and working with a lot of investors on their own trades as well as mentoring. Take care.
Teddi KnightKeymasterI will get the developers to add market cap. Thanks for the comment.
Teddi KnightKeymasterDid more trades on the TSX today https://www.fullyinformed.com/tsx-composite-index-more-trade-alerts-and-ideas-apr-18-2017/
Teddi KnightKeymasterNot so much quite as waiting for the downtrend to come to a close. The intraday outlook from the Put Options Selling Tool Analysis shows the downtrend may be ending.
With the quantity I sell, I do not want to end up closing for losses. However I have been watching the Put Options Selling Tool Analysis and today looks like the downtrend may be bottoming.
https://www.fullyinformed.com/facebook-stock-fb-million-dollar-challenge-year-1-trade-alert-apr-18-2017/Teddi KnightKeymasterI would not say the div date is useless. It gives immediate knowledge of what the dividend percentage is at a glance along with the charting and analysis on one page. I think it is still quite helpful but then I have been investing for a long time and understand the importance of the dividend when trading in specific stocks. Wait until the next correction and you’ll be surprised how hand this figure will be.
The ex-dates when added will be helpful for trading strategies such as the Super Charge Buy-Write Strategy.
Teddi.Teddi KnightKeymasterThe tool currently shows the most recent dividend date. Normally the ex dates are not known until a few weeks in advance.
Teddi KnightKeymasterIt’s back working.
TeddiTeddi KnightKeymasterIt’s concern on the French elections. This is why the premiums are so good. This trade is easy to defend and the chance, in my opinion, that the market in Europe will collapse or have alarge pullback I think is very small. If Brexit couldn’t push the markets into a full correction, the French election, I don’t think will.
You could consider a spread instead if you want more protection.
TeddiTeddi KnightKeymasterTeddi KnightKeymasterOne more Super Charge Buy-Write Strategy trade. This one focused on more call premium being earned in an effort to earn good call premium as well as pick up the dividend. https://www.fullyinformed.com/covered-calls-still-more-super-charge-buy-write-strategy-trades-for-apr-10-2017/
Teddi KnightKeymasterAnother trade setup today as the Million Dollar Challenge is rolling along https://www.fullyinformed.com/facebook-stock-fb-million-dollar-challenge-year-1-trade-alert-apr-7-2017/
Teddi Knight
Teddi KnightKeymasterYet another large trade on Apple and I will be doing another one Monday or Tuesday next week. https://www.fullyinformed.com/members/apple-stock-trade-alert-in-the-million-dollar-challenge-year-4-apr-7-2017/
Teddi KnightKeymasterHere are some trades for today Apr 5 – Note how deep the one trade is and then how small the call premiums are in the second trade. https://www.fullyinformed.com/covered-calls-super-charge-buy-write-strategy-trades-for-apr-5-2017/
These are well established to be exercised out by the close today.
Teddi KnightKeymasterFew will pay $41.63 just to get the dividend plus your $40 call strike is too close to being at the money. Look at the trades done today using this strategy. https://www.fullyinformed.com/covered-calls-super-charge-buy-write-strategy-trades-for-apr-4-2017/
You want to be deep in the money if you want to try to insure you are going to be exercised out.
Cisco stock at $32 won’t get exercised at present but at $30 it would have.It is not just a matter of the dividend being worth less than the call premium (to buy not sell) plus the stock. It is also about just how big a difference is there. I try to collect 50% of the dividend or even less and am usually deep in the money with my calls.
Teddi KnightKeymasterLooking forward to seeing your trade results. Here is my trade. https://www.fullyinformed.com/members/more-trade-alerts-ahead-of-earnings-for-apr-4-2017/
Teddi KnightKeymasterThe SSL features should be completed by tomorrow morning before the markets open.
Teddi KnightKeymasterExcellent idea Mark! I will get the techs looking into this.
Teddi KnightKeymasterI know I have an article on closing leaps. I will look for it.
