    I’ve been selling cc’s on T since December (since I got assigned on puts), and collecting the 5% divvy too. Lowered my basis by about $2 so far. I’m going for $0.00 basis!

    $25 M is a drop in the bucket these days. But I’m glad they didn’t drop my credit card in their bucket.

    FCC says AT+T will pay $25 million after data breaches where call center employees stole customer info + resold to alleged phone thieves.

    I sold the $32.5 puts expiring Friday…..gonna be a tight one, but frankly won’t mind being assigned and selling weekly calls.

    That’s how I became rich with TWTR,{just kidding}

    Hi Teddy,
    I see through your recent post that you had opened positions on AAPL biweeklies that expired on Apr 2..
    Once again I would like to know how did you handle the drawdown in the stock, as if you were using any stop schedule premiums may have increased more than, say, 25% and you should have closed positions.
    Many thanks for your time and patience.

    Thanks for your comments Teddi. Said it well. I would personally stay away from a stock like BBRY because 2-3 times a year there is a rumor that runs the stock up. I like the large cap stocks that I would indeed buy if they broke what I see as a selling supply line. {I added to IBM today-might be Warren and me if it can bust out of $165}

    Thanks for the comments. Since I do most of my option trading in IRA accounts, the issue is somewhat moot because selling naked calls is not allowed in my IRA accounts. Interesting that you would sell naked calls on the type of stocks you would want to own. My tendency would be to sell calls on stocks that seem way overvalued, such as TSLA, CMG, NFLX, AMZN…however, I realize that there is a lot of strong sentiment that keeps these stocks proped up, so I have avoided going bearish on them.

    At this time I am leaving the 88 long put open even though it is well OOM and I have closed the short put. I might get lucky…

    Hi Tom;
    Once you have traded naked calls and understand how to protect your trade I have found them no riskier than naked puts. In fact if you examine stocks you find that stocks rise slower than they fall which actually places more risk on naked puts. Like all strategies I sell against stocks I would pick up the shares in whether they are naked puts or naked calls.

    I **think** that when betting on a drop (SPXU or SDOW) you’ll get more bounce to the ounce in the DOW than in the SPX.

    But that’s just a guess.

    Denis,

    I used to use the SPXU all the time, and once asked Teddi about why SDOW. I think her answer dealt with the fact that there are indeed only a few stocks, and thus you can project the trend easier.

    Whatever her answer exactly, she convinced me:)

    You could sell a bear call spread, you know.

    Yeah… I think I’ll suspend my put selling on the SPX this week. Maybe some bear call spreads instead. Or maybe some SDOWs.

    I don’t think I see anything at all that will be positive on the overall markets and there may be some BIG negatives.

    it has been drilled into me that selling naked calls is the riskiest strategy & should be avoided

    Certainly not by Teddi. She recently as you know sold naked calls on XBI, and I believe a few other stocks which I also have done. It’s not for everyone, but for me it has been extremely profitable in this kind of volatile market. Not so good in a true BULL market, but at close to all time highs, where is the good news that can take this market up for longer than a day or two?

    Surely not the jobs numbers which were clearly going to disappoint as all the recent data has proven. The market is beginning to realize that low rates in perpetuity isn’t the best idea, the Fed is out of bullets, and we have little to no earnings growth. Right now I am way more comfortable with my calls on stocks than puts I have sold.

    But that’s just me:)

    The March 11-16 lows held. The bottom of the BB held. Don’t panic… there’ll be time enough to panic later, if everything goes to hell.
