I am thinking China will rally tonight, thus we will do the same thing we did today. Maybe too much logic, but I will probably get out of SDOW again today at the close.
I hate day trading it, but the highs and lows have made it worthwhile.

got in today at 24 for 300 shares. Sold half for 24.50 and holding on to the other 150 with a sell limit set for 26.

I got in early, and don’t really worry if I go under water. So many of the puts I sold are under water, that I would be happy to get the rest of my portfolio back up, and lose on one position SDOW.

Also sold naked calls on CAT this AM strike 80. Seems a pretty good bet:)

Made my first SDOW trade today @ 24.01 about the same time. Started with a 22.00 stop but raised it with the rally. Got too exuberant raising it and was stopped out at 25.00 on the rally before the close. I am planning to re-enter tomorrow.

The rally back at midday was an excellent opportunity to buy spy put options and Ultra Short ETFs

Exactly what I did. I came back from my meals on wheels deliveries, saw the small rally and bought SDOW @ $24.14 at 12:51.

Taking my profit for the day. Never know what China might pull tonight and we ARE oversold, but SDOW is a well utilized part of my portfolio these days!!

It’s a long time to August 28, so lots could happen.

Amazing that was only 2 weeks ago. Hoping it holds up for next week, but the yield wouldn’t be so bad to collect. At $33.50 it is 5.5%, and there isn’t going to be any rate hikes this year, at least by looking at the financials, so yield plays will be in demand.

All the puts I sold on my “retirement dream list” like OHI, HTA, and even GM @ 29.50 are going to expire today. Yield plays are already rallying.

I am taking assignment of JNJ if necessary….3% divvy, AAA credit rating. I think it will be a bouncer when the time is right, and I only need .50, at least as of today!

Hi Teddi;
I’m a new subscriber. Prior to subscribing, in attempting to follow your VIX calls strategy, I bought Dec 13 calls in early August for 4.1. They are now 4.7.
I probably went out too far to Dec.
I’m thinking of closing the position if the VIX goes over 20.
Do you have any thoughts on this , Teddi?

I sold naked calls successfully on MCD in May at the 101 and 102 strikes. Back then, MCD was running like crazy, rather than the slow creep it has now, but it’s above the high of the bbands, volume dropped today…think it is ripe for some call selling?

I have the $94 puts I sold expiring Friday.

FINALLY, after rolling my $75 strike to Friday, I finally closed it today. Made an extra 1k from my previous premium. I left some on the table, but SAFM is not a predictable stock, but I am OUT for a profit!

Even my MSFT 18Sept 45 call was not assigned. Double benefit. Dividend plus the premium collected.

Yep. IB was right. Not assigned on the MSFT 18SEP 45 Call. Collected the dividend and will get the assignment in september. Of course depending on the market in the next few weeks. Ah well, will get some extra money from the call and dividend together. So that’s ok.

Now, however, depending on the premium, $69.5 doesn’t look bad for WMT. Maybe Teddi will come out with a trade. Unfortunately I am out most of the day.

I’m holding 8/21 exp 72.5 puts from previous roll downs, soooooooo…looks like another roll is coming. Haven’t had any luck taking the long side of losing trades lately!
