Thanks. I too sold the jan18 to take a little off the table. still have Jan 25 and feb 15.

May end up selling the Jan 25 and holding on to feb ones for some inauguration insurance. It’s anyone’s guess.

    Teddi et al.,

Bought some vix Calls last week…Jan18 12s, jan25 13s, and feb15 14s. Going on low vix price and providing some protection if santa rally petered out.

Good move today…should I take some profits here? What do the charts tell you?

    Thanks, David

    Amy,

Interesting trade. Support with 200 dma at around 122 and the technicals looking decent. Accumulation has held up during recent sell off. I am going to examine premiums to see if it’s worth it…worry market is at crazy juncture here.

I am considering this trade. $120 shows a lot of support, but both market and AAPL are timid here. I likely will start a smaller position here.

    Thoughts?

Sold the 90s also. Rolled out of some 85s I had for some nice change.

So is this an opportunity to buy the US markets or the start of q correction?

Futures are below support levels we have been watching, so it’s cause for concern. At the same time, the impact of Greece in real terms will be small, so is this a headline reaction that we can profit from?

Not sure what I think at this point.

So my rescue strategy if I sold 2 at 420 and 2 at 400 would be

$2800 net sale proceeds for 4 sales
If AMZN fell to 400, then I’d be underwater on the 420s by $4000 for a net deficit of $1200. I could then sell 2-3 August 380s…which is at support…and generate enough income (estimate based on current pricing nc strikes away from price) to break even assuming worthless expiration.
Looking at this way, is risk manageable do you think?

    Toby thanks.

Is there a higher tier at TDA, say tier 3 like in the Individual account, or is it not allowed by any broker?

I like it too and am selling tomorrow at open

Support at 70 is fairly strong
