Canadian banks are great but CIBC is low as it is the most Canadian of our banks. Also don’t forget Mr Trump is attacking Canada and our dollar is dropping as one reason = worse for CIBC IMO.

I am is BNS (in latin America) and TD (in US) note BMO and RBC in US too but those 2 have diversified nicely (BNS/TD).

Teddi talks Bank National and this one is too Quebec (risky) and from personal experience, poor execution (but just my opinion).

I see you do not have market cap on there which would be useful for a quick look. I was looking at IBM and saw revenue but market cap would add usefulness.

Also shares outstanding and maybe something to denote short interest, shares short or % short or days to cover.

    thanks

You misunderstand. The rest of the tool is great but I cannot see the use of the dividend date. The last ex-div date would be as useful as the ex-day as we can add 90 days and have an idea of the next ex-date. This is useful for the buy-write and also if you want to avoid the div-date when writing puts.

    Teddi,

Has it been corrected to ex-div date instead of the useless div-paid date?

Will the estimated/real earnings date ever be on there?

    thanks

I see ex-div date was added but not estimated earnings date. Is this feasible and/or requested?

    thanks

I will be looking at BUD next week based on a Barron’s article. I will compare to TAP first in case I see what y’all are seeing.

I added to my KCS April puts Friday. My best stock idea for 2017. PS I made my career and money mostly while working at CN Rail.

Hunter Harrison is now taking his party to CSX BTW.

We are in the greatest bull market in a long time so 1. easy to do well since 2008-2009. BUT we are beating the indexes so we must be doing something right.

One thing that has surprised (maybe 2) is that premiums are quite good even though the VIX (which determines prices) is incredibly low. I am always finding 2-4 options on my list of stocks each day or so. Last month, another great month of premiums.

Good post, I think we are all feeling that this is too good to be true.

IMO if you have such a gamble of a trade, you do not go out at the open.

Note that Cramer blessed, actually gushed about GOOS (Canada Goose) which is a dumb stock IMO. Way too hot for most people and uses real fur in the hood so the tree huggers will be all over it.

I would not put too much credit to this entertainment (only) fool, or the term trem buffoon invented for him. Remember his Lehman bull call Friday before …

I think I suggested this before but just in case, add the estimated date for “ex-div and earnings” so I can see when to write CC dividend enhancement trades that I sometimes do for my longer term holdings. This is also useful to determine when NOT to write puts if you want to avoid these dates.

    Teddi, Thomas

I thought it was little guys in the background pulling the strings of this tool ;-) There is an algo behind the screen/tool!!! I would like to see the criteria behind the scene but I would guess that is proprietary.

I kind like publishing when a stock changes like Thomas suggested as my list is dynamic so any (new) ideas are welcome, not just my list.

    thanks both of you

I got into TD for 66$ at low of day as I assumed it will be much ado about nothing like WFC. What do y’all think? If goes down next week, I may add about 500 shares.

I have 2 different YUM puts and plan to probably let assigned. I wanted to get in cheaper, one of selling puts “advantages, goals”. We shall see next week. Then off to the Caribbean for a week.

I bought an executive membership last week to help y’all out and get in before they raise price. I am not that much a fan of the concept but my family loves the place and their gas price is the best in my (west of Montreal) area.

NFLX have been short strangles lately , before that, straight short call or puts depending what it does Mon and Tues, usually then setup Wednesday.

Weeklies sometimes (often) have more strikes than monthlies but monthlies have more volume (ie OI) and thus tighter bid-ask. Weeklies has less risk, higher aROI because you hold less long and learned about weeklies from Teddi (I went from AAPL to GOOG and now NFLX/CHTR/sometime TWTR).

Perhaps it would avoid confusion but just putting Month ONLY identifies that this is a monthly. There are differences between Weeklies and Monthlies do important that it is emphasized. IMO

Then there are current weekly which I post at WP or WC which is a strategy that I have been doing for a 15th week in CHTR and NFLX with success for 13 of 14 (odd one was breakeven).

At the close I did Mar 10 65.5 for .86. Been chasing since yesterday. Mine shorter DTE but higher strike and more premiums.
