As a rule, I never want the stock, regardless of the company, because it ties up capital for trading.

I have 5 contract. I initially rolled down to 84 to expire today, 2/7. Yesterday, I rolled down to 83, 2/21, breakeven, my cost was commission. I still have 5 contract. I just wanted your thoughts and how you handled the roll down. Thanks. Alvin

It didn’t help when it miss earnings this morning. Apparently, they may have signed new deal to provide more pork to China due to Coronavirus (no link, as it was 2nd hand info). China did reduce tariffs in 1/2. I would think this might help. Your thoughts and comments is appreciated. I am also looking for inputs and comments from members as well. Thank You.

I have quite a few CVX puts underwater. I am holding 111, 113, and 114 with 2/21 expiration. A cutback by OPEC would go a long way in helping the stock price.

Thanks for the link. My put looks good to expire tomorrow. I guess I will hold off on more JPM puts pending comments from Teddi.

You have a link? Apparently it’s not affecting the price of the stock.

Great, I am still holding too. I know you are bullish on MSFT. I was thinking about holding it through ER base on your last comments on MSFT. I am up .80 on those call. I am not use to buying calls. Thanks for your guidance. Alvin

The article you referred to, Teddi 12/6, 345 put on BA would have expired. Yes, I don’t see you buying back for pennies. I would probably do what Teddi suggested. I just checked, at today’s closing price, it looks like you can roll down to 1/17, 335 strike, for a small credit (I am assuing you are holding 12/20, 340 strike BA). This is a personal decision and it depends on your goal and risk tolerance. If you think market will be good, I might wait it out until Friday, before I decide what to do. If not, I may roll sooner, like tomorrow. Then, there is the risk of assignment, if you wait. Teddi has wrote a lot of articles on how to roll down, you may want to read those for more suggestions. Good luck to you.

I was curious and just check, BA close at 354 on that day. Correct me if I am wrong. It should have expire.

Teddi, I also have the 325 and 320 for this Friday. I am also holding 310 for next Friday. Would you be looking to add more BA trade this week. I will wait the week out and see if both my 325 and 320 will expire worthless. I think the chances are good. Thanks. Alvin

Mark, I been with Schwab forever. It’s nice to know that you reconciled your wash sales and that they are correct. I really don’t have an understanding of wash sales. Since they report the numbers to IRS, I am pretty much stuck with what they give me at end of year. Prior to the broker reporting the numbers to the IRS, I did safe all trade confirmations for purpose of documentation and tax reporting. It’s good to know someone else have confidence with them. Thank You. Alvin

Teddi, I use Schwab for trading. They report the gains and losses at end of year to the IRS. I was just looking to see if anyone that uses Schwab had any issues with the way they do their calculations. I do so many trades that I am not able to track it. I depend on their numbers. Sometimes, I am not sure if they are doing the wash sales or reporting realize gains and losses correct. I am looking to see if any your subscribers that use Schwab have any issues. Alvin
