Looks like you made right call and rolled. I just roll mine this morning, before it went red. I rolled mine to next week, 50 to 49.50, and 49 to 48. One was breakeven, the other for .09. Let’s hope next week is a better week. Good luck to us.

    Investor237,

I like your thinking on the 2 INTC rolls. On the higher strike, you got a roll down, pushing it out to 8/21, the roll staying positive. On the 51 strike, you rolled out a week and collected a premium and buy yourself time for INTC to bounce back either to 51 or recover to get a better roll down next week and collect more premium. Of course, I am always looking at best case.

I still have not rolled my INTC. I still have two more days. I got to believe it will bounce some after 7 straight down days. Once again, I am looking for best case. Right now, futures is red, not so good. One can hope. My long put don’t expire until 8/21, so I am going to hold for now. I got my finger crossed for an INTC up day.

    Good luck on your trade.

You mind saying what strike you rolled to. Was it a positive roll? Thanks.

Teddi, what is your take on the price action of INTC after earnings. It just went south. I thought with the change in management and outsourcing what they don’t do, it looks like they are addressing their manufacturing issues. Do you see a bounce here. Like Investor237, I am holding short puts too. What is your outlook on INTC? Do you see a bounce here? Thanks in advance for your input. Alvin

Teddi, yes, I am sitting here watching the futures. Miserable. I am hoping for a recovery too and not a repeat of March. Alvin

Teddi, yes it definitely helps out a lot. Now I have a game plan. Of course, I always hope for the best, even tough tomorrow is not looking good. There are 4 more days in the week. I always hope for the best and that it would expire worthless. Thanks again. Alvin

Teddi, another point, deep in the money calls, should help if STZ should continue to head south. Did I get that right? I never thought of it that way. Thanks. Alvin

    Teddi,

You are saying you would take assignment at $167.50 and sell the 6/26 $150 or $152.50 strike calls. If it is not called by 6/26, you would sell the 7/17 $145 call strike.

The goal is to have the calls assigned at expiration.

In addition, this week, you would look at selling 6/19 calls at the $185 call strike if you can earn .80. Yes, this part I will most likely pass on it. As when I sold the put, I personally thought the stock was undervalue and should be at $200.

Did I get that right? I like to be prepare and clear on my plans as it gets close to Friday. Thank you for getting back to me.

Yes, I have my IRA account with Fidelity and I am thinking of selling all my mutual funds and start selling puts. My regular trading account is with Schwab. Schwab charges me .50 per contract and they don’t charge .50 on any BTC at .05 or less.

You negotiated that down to .40? It’s interesting they let you sell credit put spread in your retirement account.

Do you use their Fidelity Active Tradere Pro. How do you like it?

Teddi, May 7, 2020, Trade 7 and the last 15 minute, where you provided an explanation on the candlestick, minute by minute, was very helpful. Thank You. Alvin

Teddi, for 4/17, on your Trade 4, you average down by buying puts at 1:19 and 1:39. When I look at that specific minute, I see it up signal. Is that the best time to buy puts to average down? Or am I missing something? Thanks. Alvin

Teddi, on your Trade 3, for 4/15, I bought call at exactly the same time 14:04, but I got out at 14:08, the first red candle, with 2 more red candle following, and I took a loss. What made you stay in the trade and follow that long uptrend. Thanks. Alvin

    Teddi,

I am still paper trading. I think I have a pretty good concept of when it is directional and trend change, but a lot of times, is when do you jump in. Do I jump in when 5 crosses 7 SMA, or do I wait for the 5, 7, and 15 to all line up first, most the time, I am a bit late. Then I notice you talk about wicks at times. Maybe you can comment on that. Also when does one pay attention to Williams R, it’s not so obvious to me when condition is oversold or overbought, when should I incorporate it when I am looking at the moving averages.

I do go over your trades at end of day, as well as during the trading day.

    Thank You.

    David,

I see you are trading live, I am not that brave. Had beginners luck on 1st day, but lost money the next 2 days. I have been paper trading since.

I sense you are doing on ok. 1 contract at a time is probably the way to go, this way you can add if needed to dollar cost average down.

My paper trading is not doing well. Today was probably my best day so far. I only took 3 trades, 2 win, 1 lose, but a net positive.

I try to be realistic when I paper trade. I use the mid price for my entry, and bid for my exit. This way, if I make a profit, it could real if real money was involved. I have not try to dollar cost average any of my losing trades. I just take the losses and move on to the next one.

Maybe, we can help each other, how do you pick your entry point?

I want to be a able to win 80% of the time before I go live.

I also notice on the premiums if I use an expiration date close to the trading day, premium is much lower.

I am very interested in your progress.

As you can see, Teddi would like to see us paper trade until we can consistently be profitable. I would agree.
