I was able to roll mine AMD down today. I rolled all my other holding out another week. This is beginning memories or 3/20 where we get limit down every night. Do you see that in the near future. I can see we are close to 10% down on S&P from ath. Any chance of this bottoming soon. Any insights would be appreciated. Alvin

What strike did you roll that 133p to? I rolled mine to 130s. It’s in the money now. I also hold the 127s. Hope it can bounce back to 130+ on 1/21. TIA.

I think it’s an over-reaction too. It close at 205. I also sold the 195 strike today for this Friday. I got my finger crossed on my 202.50 and 205 expiring this Friday.

I see you are holding FB, MA, and V. For me, it’s DIS. My worst strike is 167.50. The bulk of it is at the 165 strike. I hate rolling things out too far. I am hoping for an end of the year run. I am rolling them across at the same strike hoping for a run to get me out from underneath it, for a credit. So far, I been able to. I am going from week to week, if I can, and see what happens.

I was stuck in an MA trade a while back. Luckily, it ended well with a profit.

This is my trading account. I have about 100k in it. I do use margin. I try to generate an average of $500 – $700 a week.

I do trade options on a small retirement account. Since no margin is allowed. I am not as concern with assignment. I would just roll and roll until I get assigned or expire. I do pick stocks I don’t mind owning.

The majority of my retirement account is in no load mutual funds. I just look at it, that’s about it. It’s strictly in S&P 500 and Total stock Market Index Funds, with about 15% in international market.

I do use my trading account for living expenses at times, to supplement my retirement income. I am not at RMD age yet.

This week, my only risk is V, all my other puts should expire as it should. I do have one other that could be close, AMD.

Teddi just posted V trade today. Now I am really concerned. She bought puts on V. I am still hoping it to expire. The options tables leads me to believe we could see 225 tomorrow. We will see, if not, I am looking for a roll down with a credit, if I can get it. I normally try for as big a roll down as possible for a credit or a small debit, because I usually want to be out of the trade as soon as possible.

I got my fingers crossed for 225 tomorrow.

Hey, thanks for the input. I sold V at the beginning of the week, thinking 225.5 would hold. I always try for weekly if I can. I try not to go too far out in time with my puts. I only netted .25 on the spread. I am not brave and do atm puts, but I did do the MSFT 305 like Teddi did. One of the few out of the money puts I hold. I keep looking for news on V, but don’t really see anything bad out there, other than, bnpl, hacking on MA, and the slowing of travel. V is off of today’s low. I am hoping my 222.50 will have a chance to expire. I usually don’t like to roll early, unless I am concern with assignment. Let’s see how it plays out. Good luck on your trade.

Teddi, why not, I got the power. Good to know, you are still bullish, because I went all out Friday and close out trades instead of rolling. Plus, I didn’t take any new position today. I guess I will slowly start adding tomorrow. Thank you. Alvin

Teddi, yes, for sure, even if not, it’s low enough where rolling should be easy and profitable. If it expire close to my strikes, I will sell more next week at a lower strike. Thank You for all you do. Alvin

Teddi, I took a position on Monday, before earnings, sold the 146s,exp 8/6. Yesterday, I sto the 152.50s and 150s, expiring this Friday. I try to keep my time frame as short as possible. Alvin
