    Amy and Teddi, thanks for the explanation. I own a lot of PCG in my retirement account, as well as limited amount of DUK, they are both down. I now have a better understanding as to why. Thank You. Alvin

    I too was assigned 500 shares at $60.50 and 1000 shares at $58. I am thinking of selling it at the current price and take the loss. This would free up a lot of funds to trade. I could then turn around and sell BMY put at the current price. Even if I get assigned BMY again, it would be at a lower price. Or I could use the funds to sell puts on FB, which it have been working real well for me lately. Right now, I am just holding those 1500 shares of BMY. I definitely should do something with those 1500 shares of BMY.

    By buying the BMY calls, you are thinking that we may have hit bottom. I certainly hope so. I just keep adding money and rolling mines out. I am trying to roll some now and stay out of assignment. I have some 11/11 60.50 which may get assigned to me shortly.

    Teddi, thanks for getting back to me. I actually did decide to roll. I rolled the $152.50 to 11/4 $150. I was able to select an exp date where it didn’t cost any additional funds. Alvin

    Teddi, I have the $152.50 exp this Friday. Earning is tomorrow after the market close. Do you recommend that we roll before earning. Or should I roll the dice and wait till after the earning. I believe they miss the last 2 quarter. If that is correct, I would think they would have guided down or kept expectation in line, thus they could beat on earning. With it trending downward, that may not be the case. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. Alvin

    I rolled my 8/19 61.50 to 8/26 61.50 for a credit of .18 on 8/16.
    I still have the 8/19 58.50, 59.50, and 60 puts to deal with. I am hoping BMY get a bounce and the 58.50 will expire this Friday. If we get that bounce, I will try for breakeven roll down of .50 for 58.50 and 60 puts.
    Looking back, maybe I should have rolled all my BMY yesterday.
    I try not to go more that a week out on the rolls if I can.
