I am in the US. I have Schwab. They do provide the gains or losses to the IRS.
aby1818ParticipantDon’t your broker provide you with your long and short term gains? They would address your wash sales. Alvin
aby1818ParticipantLarry, Thank You. Alvin
aby1818ParticipantTeddi or anyone, can you tell me how you get % number on this statement: The Put Options Selling Tool Analysis of the Chart however shows is that the $180.5 valuation has a rating of 71% which means for the next month there is a 29% chance the stock will fall below $180. Thanks. Alvin
aby1818ParticipantTeddi,
Thank You for the Black Friday Special. I have renewwed.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Alvin
aby1818ParticipantTeddi, just a thought, maybe you can just post trades as it fills. Post the articles when you have the opportunity. Alvin
aby1818ParticipantI am also holding the $157.50 for next Friday. I am just goona see how it plays out. I think if there are sone kind of announcement like a fix on the watch, we could see a bounce back to $155. Of course, I do risk assignment. Alvin
aby1818ParticipantAn update on my situation, I received an email yesterday from someone with the cost basis team that is working on the updates and will contact me again once it is done, but did not provide a time frame. Alvin
aby1818ParticipantSchwab offers commission free and no per contract fee for buying to close on option contact that is .05 or less.
aby1818ParticipantTom, I am inclined maybe not move the entire account, but to move half the account over to Fidelity. I have my IRA with them. They have offered a lot of free trades and sending someone over to my house to get me comfortable with their trading software in the past, because I resisited the change in the past due to my familarity with Schwab and how they operate. I am dissappointed with Schwab not doing what they are required to do for their customer. Just an fyi, I don’t trade my IRA, straightly mutual funds. Alvin
aby1818ParticipantTom, the consultant I been speaking with is out of the local office. I gotta tell you, their customer service is not good. I did call the office manager and left a voicemail one time a while back when the consultant was out of the office. He neve brother to return my phone call. Maybe it’s best that I call the 800 toll free number for active trader and ask to speak with a supervisor and do as Teddi said, threaten them with moving the account. Maybe that’s the only thing they understand. I am very fustrated with them right now. This is after a 30 year relationship. Alvin
aby1818ParticipantTeddi, it is a large account and it does do a lot of trades. I agree with you, can’t undersand how they are not able to address this issues quickly. Especially when it is a requiremennt of doing business. I will see what the connsultant has to say when I hear back from him. I guess I will have to push to speak with a supervisor and threaten to move my account. It seems like lot of traders like TD Ameritrade. I do get a discount on commission with Schwab, just wondering if TD Ameritrade will match it. Thanks for the advice. Alvin
aby1818ParticipantThanks for the suggestions. Alvin
aby1818ParticipantMark, I just called my consultant and left a voicemail. He is bad at returning phone calls. I will demand for a time frame. Would it benefit me to demand to speak to a supervisor. Let’s see where that gets me. When I first call, you wouldn’t believe this, she said it should be corrected by the time the 1099 comes out next year. You can tell, I was piss me off with that comment. Thanks. Alvin
aby1818ParticipantRecently, I had 15 contract on NVDA. It closed Friday, .03 below my strike price. I thought I would be assigned on all 15 contract, but I was only assigned on 10 contract. I myself would wait till Monday to decide on the call.
aby1818ParticipantI see where I went wrong.
aby1818ParticipantYou are selling puts on cost??
aby1818ParticipantAnyone here holding EOG puts?
aby1818ParticipantYes, the trade work well for me. I do a lot of your trades, especially aapl and fb. Thank You for all you do. Alvin
aby1818ParticipantI closed out my short put prior to close for .60. I decided to free up capital to see what opportunities will bring me tomorrow.
aby1818ParticipantDefinitely could use some help from the market. I have mine fingers crossed too.
aby1818ParticipantTeddi, I guess you don’t see it going back to $1000 anytime soon? Alvin
aby1818ParticipantAmy, since you own the shares, you must have made a lot of money on it. Of course, I am assuming you held through earnings. Alvin
aby1818ParticipantI think it has to do with Walmart planning to offer discount to customers on certain products who is willing to pick up merchandise at a local Walmart store. Alvin
aby1818ParticipantSTO EOG 4/21 92.50s put for .25.
