Sun Life Financial releases its next quarterly earnings on May 5.
With the stock moving sideways here are two trades I am considering for Tuesday May 5. With earnings deeply in question and a possible drop in revenue in the forecast, Tuesday could be quite the interesting day.
No matter what happens to SLF Stock one of these trades can be placed, but if the stock moves as I am expecting, both trades will provide additional profits for my portfolio.
Trading Around Support Levels
One of the most important aspects of entering a trade is understanding how to rescue it and keep it profitable should the trade turn against the investor. One of the best ways to seek protection is to design trades with support levels combined into the trade’s rescue or repair. Support levels, especially strong ones, make it easier to continue to earn profits even in a decline. This is because support levels can assist in protecting a trade from large losses.
Every time an investor places a trade, capital is risked. It is easy to lose capital in a trade. This is why it is important to understand how to use support levels to protect capital that is being risked.
This article outlines the two trades I am considering for Tuesday and how to build a trade around support levels to protect the capital in use while keeping the trade profitable no matter what the stock decides to do.
