Another stock that I discussed yesterday was BB&T Stock. They released their earnings today before markets opened. This regional bank continues to add profits to my portfolio year after year. Meanwhile the bank itself continues to grow its balance sheet.
BB&T Earnings
They beat earnings estimates coming in at 84 cents per share versus 79 cents estimated and 72 cents for the same quarter last year. Revenue came in at $2.91 billion which beat estimates of $2.84 billion an above $2.7 billion for the same quarter last year. For the year BB&T Corp earned $11.5 billion beating the prior year earnings of $10.9 billion.
