Once stock markets turn sideways there are a number of strategies that can assist in boosting portfolios while still offering a level of protection. Earlier today I posted a trade using the Weekly Wanderer Strategy. Another strategy that is worth reviewing is the 10-20-30 moving averages strategy.
Sideways markets are ideal for the 10-20-30 moving averages strategy since it offers investors a deeper insight into the underlying movement of the stock as it attempts to predict when to place trades and when to close them. These trades can be selling options, both puts and calls, buying and selling stock as well as buying and selling options.
I have picked a number of stocks that I will be applying this strategy to on an ongoing basis so investors can follow along and learn the strategy. Investors can either use the stocks I am outlining or they can implement the strategy against stocks in their own portfolios. Make sure to read the full strategy paper through this link, as there are some equities that this strategy does not work as well with such as commodities, crypto currencies, bond funds or utilities. For members, here is the full outline of how the strategy works.
