Reynolds American Stock met my criteria years ago and I keep a watch on the stock to trade it at various times. I just wish I had bought shares back in March 2009.
Reynolds American Stock back in March 2009 as the bear market bottomed was trading for around $16.00. Since then the stock has been on a very steady rise. The rise in the stock has been matched by the rise in revenues which has helped to push RAI stock to an intraday high of $65.95 on Friday Nov 21 2014. This is a gain of 312% in the stock price.
The dividend has increased from .425 cents a quarter to .67 cents or 57% increase. While the dividend increase since 2009 is impressive, the stock price definitely is. You can see the gain in the stock price below.
