The weakness last week may be due to the markets sitting near all-time highs although that is just conjecture on my part. Still though with the markets stalling here it could simply be that the all-time highs are seeing investors rotate between stocks and sectors as they try to reposition portfolios as well as set up protection and/or hedges. While my personal observation is that I believe stocks will head higher still before we see a pullback, I cannot invest based on my “belief”. Instead I have to continue to generate income by setting up trades to focus on the safety of the trade from assignment or losses first and the profit second.
With my full portfolio now up 25% I can easily put in place additional trades that focus strongly on safety first. Here are some of the trades I am watching and/or may be entering for the third week of July.
