Last week the TSX opened at 12,888.72 and spent the start of the week dropping and the final two days of the week recovering to close at 12,797.79 for a loss on the week of 90.93 points or 0.70%. In other words a fairly flat week for the TSX. However considering that by Wednesday intraday the TSX was down at 12,506.05, the recovery on Thursday and Friday was actually fairly positive for the index.
