An investor writes in wondering how he can trade options while having a day job. I worked for many years and traded options continually throughout my working career. Let’s review his questions and then look at some answers.
Investor Questions
I am interested in trading options, but can not do it during the day (as I work) so I’m looking for something that I can do at night. I know options fairly well but am terrible at picking winning trades. I am hoping for some help on which stocks/options to pick and when to trade. Thank you

Some Answers
This could be a huge article itself and perhaps one day when I “slow down” I will write-up a lengthy strategy article. For now though let me start by saying I traded options while working during a period in time when cell phones and instant access to quotes were not available. Today it is much easier to trade options while working and there are many members as well as many investors who I have and am still tutoring, who trade while holding careers. However spending your time on a cell phone or checking stocks while at work is usually not productive and probably won’t build a successful working career or a large portfolio.
